You can make a difference!

Your support is critical in helping us achieve our mandate to provide crisis counselling & intervention, information and referrals, and safety planning to approximately 50,000 callers a year – survivors of violence, their friends and families, health and legal professionals, community service providers and those calling on their behalf.

Your contribution goes a long way…

Your gift of $25 provides emergency cab fare for a woman fleeing violence. Your gift of $50 provides valuable resources and training material to assist counsellors in providing the best possible service to women experiencing violence. Your gift of $100 provides a full day of Language Line Interpretation service for women whose first language is not English. Your gift of $500 provides a full day of crisis line service.

Tribute Gift	Celebrate or honour a friend or a loved one.

HBC Points	Donate your HBC points to help our fundraising initiatives. Visit www.hbc.com/community for more information.
Third Party Events	Get involved and hold a fundraiser at work, school or in your community and donate the proceeds.
Corporate Gift	Approach your company's donations committee for a corporate gift on behalf of the Assaulted Women's Helpline.
Matching Policy	Contact Human Resources or your company's donations committee to see if there is a matching policy so that your donation will be matched by your company.
Payroll Deduction	Designate your payroll deduction to the Assaulted Women's Helpline
United Way	Designate your United Way donation to the Assaulted Women's Helpline
Your Will	Remember the Assaulted Women's Helpline in your will. It is one of the easiest ways to ensure continued support of our work.
Life Insurance Policy	The gift of a life insurance policy can provide significant support to our Helpline, while only costing a fraction of the value of the gift. You may want to sign over an existing policy when it is no longer needed for the original purpose, or you may purchase a new policy naming the Assaulted Women's Helpline as the sole owner and beneficiary.
In-Kind Donations	Help us reduce our costs through in-kind donations. Some examples include: Air time on television and radio Public awareness advertisements on billboards, hot air balloons, magazines, etc. Printing services

We know that a woman is harmed, maimed or injured every minute of every day. That woman is someone’s mother, daughter, sister, lover, wife, friend, in-law, co-worker or neighbour.
