Tribute Giving

Send a unique, one of a kind gift to celebrate or to honour a friend or a loved one. It is a simple way to touch someone's life and enrich your own at the same time. It is also a great way to let your friends and family know what causes are important to you.

A gift to the Assaulted Women's Helpline sends a meaningful message that you want to help women in need, and most importantly, that you want to help women and their children rebuild their lives after experiencing violence.

You are our best ambassador to not only spread awareness, but also, in lending a hand to ending violence against women.

How will AWHL acknowledge my gift?

With a minimum donation of $20, we will send an appropriate personalized card to the recipient on your behalf. For memorial gifts, be sure to include the name and address of the appropriate family member.

The amount of your gift is only disclosed if you instruct us to do so.

You will receive a letter acknowledging your gift along with a charitable income tax receipt ($20 or more).

We rely on the generosity and support from members of our community to operate our programs and initiatives. It only takes a few minutes to make a gift but its impact can make an extraordinary difference.

Types of gifts that you can give

• Celebration Gift - Celebrate a birthday, graduation, wedding, anniversary, retirement, or other special occasions. Celebration gifts are a great way to ask your friends and family to make a donation in lieu of a present.
• Memorial Gift - Pay tribute to a relative, friend, or a colleague who has recently passed away.
• In Honour Gift - Say thank you to someone who has touched your life or has done something special for you with a donation in their name.
